Since HSP formed in the 1970s, we have worked in partnership with the manufacturer Bonney Forge. Our relationship with Bonney Forge has gone from strength to strength, as both companies have developed and grown. In our case, this included opening offices in Aberdeen, Teesside, Qatar and the USA.
Through this period, Bonney Forge expanded their manufacturing base to become the world leader in forged Gate, Globe and Check valves, manufacturing over 100,000 valves per month.
Bonney Forge’s manufacturing skills and their ability to ability to adapt to the increasing demands on specifications has helped to build their reputation as a truly world-class manufacturer.
Our long-standing relationship with manufacturers such as Bonney Forge gives us an unrivalled understanding of capabilities, production methods and systems. Through this relationship, both companies have been able to offer an improved and transparent flow of information to clients throughout their projects, contributing to superior all-round performance by the supply chain.
At the same time, our experience with contractors and end users all over the world has enabled us to give manufacturers a better understanding of the future needs and goals of clients. With Bonney Forge investing substantially in product R&D, it wasn’t long before this insight was incorporated into the new products that came to market.
Today, Bonney Forge are still predominantly known for their wide and varied range of forged steel gate, globe and check valves. However, they also have several products that many people would not typically associate with them. These include: API 6A, Pressure Seal Valves, Floating and Trunnion Ball Valves, Double Block and Bleed valves and even Cast Gate, Globe and Check Valves.
Bonney Forge also provide a range of branch connections for severe duty. The concept of integral reinforcement of Branch Connections was pioneered by Bonney Forge in the 1930s, with the development of the Olet Types such as Sweepolets and Weldolets. All of these products have the Bonney Forge Brand and high quality of manufacture.
“In my professional experience as a manufacturer working with HSP for more than 15 years, they have proved vital to us in accessing both the UK project market, as well as the onshore and offshore MRO market,” said Bonney Forge Sales Manager Simone Magni. “To have a partner with HSP’s sheer depth and understanding and knowledge of our company and our products is an asset, not only to us, but also to our clients.” “When a high level of contact and information is required over the life of a project, HSP have proved to be highly accomplished in managing the needs of end users and contractors, increasing efficiency and avoiding delays.”
Robin Glew, Sales Manager at HSP added: “With a new range of products we are sure our relationship with Bonney Forge will continue to grow and so we are looking forward to the next 30 years!”
