Biffi was established in 1955 in Fiorenzuola d’Arda, Italy. The first Series A electric actuators was manufactured for the Italian petrochemical industry, using hydraulic actuators and control systems for shipyard customers. In 1969, Biffi consolidated and moved to its present location, where they developed the first Series B electric actuators in cast iron. Further expansions of the operation followed in 1978 and 1996, gradually evolving Biffi's operations into today’s fully equipped 29,000 square feet factory. Biffi is a part of global industrial engineering group Pentair.
Biffi valve actuators have been leaders in the Pipelines, Oil and Gas, Chemical, and Power industries for more than 50 years. They come in standard and specially designed models, including electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, gas-hydraulic, and subsea actuators. All are available with a full complement of accessories suitable for a wide range of applications. Custom-designed actuation solutions are available to optimize valve automation requirements.
Biffi's advanced manufacturing plant includes a modern machine shop, a flexible machining centre, assembly and fitting shops, in-house welding capability, inspection, testing, and automated painting facilities.
